About Cody Mackall

I didn't start in marketing — I started in service.

After more than 12 years in the United States Army as a Senior Operations and Strategic Communications Manager, I built a skillset most marketing agencies can only put on a slide deck. I managed programs and communications campaigns reaching 25,000+ participants, oversaw budgets between $3M and $5M, and led cross-functional teams across federal, nonprofit, and community partners. When I transitioned out of uniform, I brought every bit of that discipline into the world of digital marketing.

I founded Veteran Vision Media in San Antonio, TX with a straightforward mission: help businesses and organizations show up online the way they deserve to — with strategy, consistency, and real results. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Sports Management from the University of the Incarnate Word, and I'm currently completing my Master of Science in Marketing at Texas A&M University's Mays Business School. I'm also a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and a Certified Program Planner — because I believe the best marketers are also the most organized ones.

The problems I love solving are the ones most businesses don't know they have — the gap between what a brand actually is and how it shows up online. I've spent my career connecting people: soldiers to community, athletes to audiences, organizations to the audiences that need them most. That's what drives me, and it's exactly what Veteran Vision Media is built to do.

Beyond VVM, I serve as Digital Communications Coordinator for Streamline Aquatics — where I've generated 80,000+ impressions through content strategy and multimedia storytelling — and as a Board Member and Safe Sport Chair for South Texas Swimming. I recently completed a marketing internship with Soldiers' Angels, a nationally recognized veteran support nonprofit right here in San Antonio, where I worked across email, social, SEO, and campaign analytics. I'm also a certified USA Swimming official, a live sports announcer, and an esports shoutcaster known as CheesyGrunt.

I don't just talk about community — I'm embedded in it. Every role I've taken, every organization I've served, connects back to the same core belief: good marketing builds real relationships. That's what I bring to every client at Veteran Vision Media.
